The Organization

Social Reformation and Upliftment Society (SRUS), Nagaland is situated at United North Block-Naga Colony, Burma Camp, Dimapur, Nagaland was formed and registered with the Government of Nagaland, Home Department, Registration cell of society, Kohima, Nagaland vide Regd. No. H/RS-554, dated 20-07-1998 under registration of Societies Act, 1860 as amended vide registration of societies (Nagaland First Amendment Act) Act, 1969.

Inception

Since its inception, the society have been actively involved in the welfare of the tribal local people in the field of education, improve the quality of life, improve the economic life and infrastructure in social life through charity works. The society as founded by a group of dedicated and energetic like-minded people of our area to work together for the upliftment of the members and the public in general.

Our society has mainly focus on upliftment of social status of human life, skill of the leaders, creating skill training for economic development and quality education to down trodden people of the society in Nagaland state and other North Eastern States.

Registration

Our society have been registered some basic needs in various ministries to receive funds from well-wisher noble donors, individuals, funding agencies from the national and international for working together mainly to promote peace and harmony, social mass upliftment and all-round development in under-develop state of Nagaland in particular and North Eastern States as a whole.

Moreover, our society have registered under section 12AA of the Income Tax Act, 1961 vide entered at OC-746/12A/CIT/JRT/2007-08, dated 16-10-2007.
SRUS have registered under 80G(5) (vi) vide order No. CIT€/8E/OC-385/80G/CIT/JRT/2009-10/627-629 dated 08/09/2015.
We have registered under Foreign contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010-11 in section 16 of FCRA and Rule 12 of FCRA 2011, vide Regd. No.164730117 with the nature of religion, cultural, Economic, Educational and Social.

Legal status
SRUS was registered as a non-profit making, non-political and non-governmental organization having its Rules and Regulations, vision, mission and objectives. The organization is working mainly to promote peace and harmony, social mass upliftment, spreading love through all-round development.

Hostel
We endeavour the guidance requirement of the students community for both boys and girls…

Children Home
The foundation accommodate the children who are orphans and single parent.
